An alarming situation has arisen at Jagannath University (JnU), where an official has reportedly received a death threat through a mailed letter.
The recipient, Salauddin Molla, who serves as the Assistant Director (Finance & Accounts), is now deeply concerned for his safety.
On September 11, a letter titled “Death Warrant” was delivered to Salauddin Molla.
The terrifying message inside the letter read, “Salauddin, you seem to have a strong chest. Despite everything, you continue to act as usual. We are truly shocked. Your time is running out. Your burial shroud has already been purchased. We will kill you at any time.”
Feeling unsafe and uncertain about his well-being, Salauddin Molla took immediate action and filed a general diary with the Kotwali Police Station in Dhaka on September 14.
The police are now investigating the matter to ensure his security and to track down those responsible for the threat.
