Tariqul Islam Jibon Boli from Chakaria, Cox's Bazar has become the champion in the 113th edition of the traditional Jabbarer Boli Khela of Chattogram.

Chakaria's Jibon Boli was won by defeating Shahjalal Boli of Cumilla in the final of the competition on Monday.

Great to be champion.  Expressing his feelings after becoming the champion, Jibon Boli said, "I feel very good.  The dream was to become a champion in this Jabbar Boli Khela.  I am very happy to be the champion at last time. '

Abdul Jabbar Saodagar, a resident of the Badarpati area of Chattogram, introduced the Boli Khela in 1909 to physically prepare the country's youth to fight the anti-British movement.  Over a hundred years in a row, this Boli Khela has not only become the biggest traditional folk festival in the country, but has also taken its place in history.

Following this, the 113th edition of the traditional Jabbarer Boli Khela was organized at the Chattogram Zilla Parishad premises of the city on Monday afternoon with great enthusiasm.

This year instead of Laldighi ground, Boli Khela field has been specially made of sand at a height of 20 feet in the Chattogram Zilla Parishad premises.  A total of 72 Boli man took part in the first round, quarter final (challenging bout), semi-final and final (champion bout).
