After long 18 years, the triennial conference of Jibannagar Upazila Awami League of Chuadanga will be held today (March 14).
Earlier, the triennial conference of Jibannagar Upazila Awami League was held in November 2004. At that conference, a committee was formed with Golam Mortuza as President and Sharifuddin as general secretary with 69 member. Since then, the committee has been carrying out organizational work. After the death of general secretary Sharif Uddin, Nazrul Islam, the co-general secretary of the committee, has been acting as general secretary of the party.
There is a lot of enthusiasm among the leaders and workers for this conference which is going to be held after 18 years. Festive atmosphere is prevailing in the upazila. The main roads of the municipal town and upazila including the conference stage will be decorated in colorful style. Extended meetings have already been held in each union to make the conference a success. The conference stage will be set up in the auditorium of Ikkhukray Kendra of Jibannagar Municipality. Leaders and workers are working day and night to make the conference a success.
Joint convener of the conference preparation committee Abdul Latif Amal said preparations for the conference were nearing completion. Hopefully, with the direction of our dear leader Haji Ali Azgar Togar MP we will make Jibannagar Upazila United Awami League Conference 100% successful. He further said that Jibannagar Upazila Awami League is united. There is no party conflict here. A festive mood is prevailing in Jibannagar around the conference. Jibannagar Awami League will go further by forming a full committee through the conference.
