Raqibul Islam Joarder, 34, son of Khelafat Hossain Joarder of village Mingarm under Shailkupa upazila of Jhenidah died of corona virus symptoms on Tuesday.
The burial team of Islamic Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) had buried him as per the rules of Muslim law at the village on the evening of the day.
Upazila health and family planning officer (UHFPO) in Shailkupa Dr. Rashed Al Mamun said Raqibul Islam Joarder was admitted to Jhenidah Sadar hospital with corona virus symptoms on July 6. He died at the hospital when he was undergoing treatment on July 7 mornings.
The sent the slab to a laboratory for testing whether the man was suffering from covid 19 or not, UHFPO said.
Islamic Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) Deputy Director Abdul Hamid Khan said advised by the deputy commissioner of Jhenidah Saroj Kumar Nath, they had arranged the burial of Raqibul Islam Joarder.
The body of Joarder, the proprietor of Raqib Travel Agency in Dhaka, was taken to his village home from the hospital by the burial committee members under the supervision of IFB filed supervisor Abdur Razzaque and buried
accordingly.
The foundation had so far had buried 17 persons either died of corona virus, or suspected to be infected, deputy director said.
