Jhenaidah Ladies Club authorities have distributed Eid gifts among the distressed and poor to share their sorrow and happiness with all. The Eid gifts were distributed at the Muktamancha of Jhenaidah Old DC Court premises Friday.
Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Razia Akter Chowdhury, club president also wife of the deputy commissioner (DC) Sharmin Akter attended the event as chief guest. Ladies Club vice president also additional district magistrate (ADM) Salma Selim, treasurer Rasheda Khanam and executive members of the club present. They had distributed the Eid gift among 350 women. The have less women upon receiving the gift before Eid Ul Fitr, had expressed their gratitude to the club authority and prayed for their continuous progress.
Jhenaidah Ladies Club president Sharmin Akter in her speech as the chief guest said the club authorities has been doing the same with their limited efforts and affordability. The well to the people of the society he or she resides in Bangladesh or elsewhere, could extend hands towards the distressed people so that they could live better in their respective areas. It might help to attain the country towards a progressive society, club president Sharmin Akter said.
