Selling of trading corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) goods for the second phase was inaugurated in Jhenaidah marking the Ramadan on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner (DC) SM Rafiqul Islam inaugurated the event at the subsidized prices at Jhenaidah Shishu Academy premises with Upazila Nirbahi officer (UNO) Sadiya Jarin in the chair.
Additional deputy commissioner (ADC, general) Rathindra Nath Roy, TCB assistant director Atiqur Rahman, District Children Affairs Officer Ayub Hossain, Jhenaidah press club president Raihan and TCB vendor Khasruzzaman Babu among otters present during the time.
DC SM Rafiqul Islam in his inaugural speech said the government of Sheikh Hasina has opened the door for the under privileged and disadvantaged people and distributing foodgrains at a subsidized rate so that they could afford it with their limited income. He also urged upon the well to do people to stand by the poor in their crucial need of foodgrains so that the country. He said no one will suffer from hunger when the democratic government has been running the country towards a smart Bangladesh.
