The Commerce Ministry deployed administrator for Jhenaidah bus minibus owners’ association. The Aim of the deployment of the administrator was to avoid fierce clash among the owners and to ensure a free and fair election for the association.
The order came from the additional secretary of the ministry through a letter on September 10 last, said office sources of deputy commissioner in Jhenaidah.
The letter said the bus minibus owners association is an organization approved by the ministry of commerce. As the tenure of the committee was ended on March 27 this year, there is no provision and environment for inviting any meeting there.
Further, there is no major possibility of reorganizing the same right now. The present situation has been hampering the association activities badly. The assets and properties are not also utilized properly in the situation.
To maintain law and order and to avoid fierce clash among the leaders, the ministry deployed the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), revenue as the administrator.
The letter said the administrator will furnish routine work and ensure free and fair elections of the executive committee of the association within 120 days and hand over the charge to the elected body accordingly.
Mention may be made that Deputy Commissioner in a letter on September 8 requested the ministry of commerce to deploy an administrator to avoid fierce clash in the bus minibus owners association.
