JCI Bangladesh honours 10 outstanding young persons

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh hosted the ‘Ten Outstanding Young Persons’ (TOYP) Award, 2020, honouring ten ‘incredible’ young leaders under the age of 40 years.

Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen was present as the chief guest at the event on Saturday. Nahim Razzaq, MP was present as the special guest.

2020 TOYP winners are Sheikh Tonmoy, Shams Mahmud, Safwan Sobhan, Siddikur Rahman, Akbar Ali, Hridoy Khan, Ayman Sadiq, Tanvir Ahmed, Nobonita Chowdhury and Reazul Kabir.

These individuals exemplify the spirit of the JCI mission and have extraordinary accomplishments in the development of society, the JCI said.

The award recognised achievements in various categories such as Business, Economic, and/or Entrepreneurial Accomplishment, Political, Legal, and/or Governmental Affairs, Academic Leadership and/or Accomplishment, Personal Improvement and/or Accomplishment, Medical Innovation, Cultural Achievement and Humanitarian and/or Voluntary Leadership.

JCI is a global organization of young leaders aged 18-40 who are dedicated to creating the positive change they wish to see in themselves and the world.

The community has more than 150,000 active members in 105 countries.

JCI Bangladesh every year takes the initiative in recognizing the contribution of youth in the society.

National President of JCI Bangladesh Sarah Kamal said: “We will be developing leaders for a changing world and focus on sustaining and rebuilding economies, motivating the workforce, preserving mental health & cultivating a global leadership mentality among members, amplifying their existing skills and talents through high quality events & training.”
