Four times National Film Award winner Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan who currently works mostly in Bangladeshi and Indian Bengali films has recently joined another new film in Kolkata titled ‘Kalantor-Bongobhongor Biplobi Jug’, directed by Soukarya Ghosal. The actress will be seen playing the role of a revolutionist. The film is based on the Partition of Bengal; the actress herself confirmed the news.
Earlier, Jaya did two films titled ‘Bhoot Pori’ and ‘OCD’ with Soukarya Ghosal. The film ‘Kalantor-Bongobhongor Biplobi Jug’is scripted by Soukarya's wife Pooja Chatterjee and Priyak Mitra. They have been studying for it for a year and a half.
"I am a history student, so I did not want my film to have any history flaws," the director Soukarya Ghosal told Indian media.
Meanwhile, for such an accurate character, he has again chosen the talented actress Jaya Ahsan. Along with Jaya the film ‘Kalantor-Bongobhongor Biplobi Jug’ will also star Kaushik Sen, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Riddhi Sen, Surangana Bandyopadhyay, and many others. Shooting for the forthcoming film will start in Kolkata on December 18.

Jaya Ahsan has recently gone to Kolkata for signing and pre-production of this film. Regarding the context the Jaya said, ‘I am working again with the facility of a very talented producer here. This time I came to Kolkata mainly for a new project. Now there are continuous rehearsals, depending upon last minute changes in matters like the script and costume design among others, I am preparing myself well for this project. The film deals with the historical context of the Partition of Bengal. As a result, we all take very serious work.’
