Four times National Film Award winner Dhallywood’s one of the versatile actresses Jaya Ahsan has recently joined the shooting of her upcoming film titled ‘Fereshta’ by Iranian director Morteza Atashzamzam.
Earlier, director Morteza Atashzamzam has directed Ananta Jalil starrer film titled 'Din-The Day'. This time he is coming with ‘Fereshta’ and Jaya Ahsan will be seen playing the lead in it.
The director has started shooting along with his four crew members in different areas of the capital Dhaka. On March 13, Director Morteza Atashzamzam and his team got permission from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to shoot under the titled ‘CNG.’ After that they started working in areas like New Market of Dhaka, Jamuna Future Park and Bashundhara’s Solmaid area.
Jaya has started shooting along with actress Reekita Nondine Shimu at the Dreamland Dhaka Resort & Restaurant in Bashundhara. On Monday April 4, the film crew including the actress was caught on camera by the media where she was seen riding on rickshaws dressed as slum dwellers and carrying a small child in her arms. Then the matter was disclosed and a copy of their permit was also found on the website of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
It is learnt that the film 'Fereshta' will be shooting for 20 consecutive days. However, the producers and artistes want to keep the matter completely secret.
To be noted recently Jaya Ahsan received the Best Actress award at the 5th Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla for her role in the film ‘Binisutoy’ on March 17. Earlier, the actress has also received India's most popular Filmfare Award. She won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for 'Bishorjan' alongside Abir Chatterjee and Kaushik Ganguly directed by Kaushik Ganguly himself in 2017 and ‘Bijoya’ and 'Robibaar' in 2021 at the Joy Filmfare Awards (Bangla).
