Jaya Ahsan, a popular actress from Bangladesh has earned her fame across the border in Kolkata.
She has received recognition for her work from both Bangladesh and Kolkata. Jaya Ahsan starrer Kolkata film ‘Kantha’ is going to be released in Bangladesh on November 8 under the SAFTA agrrement. In this, Jaya plays the central character. On the other hand, Jaya starrer Bangladeshi film ‘Khacha’ directed by Akram Khan is in return being released in Kolkata. Azad Abul Kalam has played opposite to her in the film.
Films starring Jaya Ahsan are being released in both Bangladesh and Kolkata due to SAFTA agreement. Jaya is excited about the release of ‘Kantha’ and is regularly posting on her social media expressing her excitement. It can be said that Jaya is as much quiet about ‘Khaccha’ as she is excited about ‘Kantha’.
Jaya Ahsan played the central role in the two films. But why is it that the actress is so excited about the release of her Kolkata film but is quiet about her Bangladesh film?
Jaya Ahsan’s cell phone was tried twice to find out about this but there was no response. After sending a small message to her cell phone, no reply was received. So, is Jaya Ahsan giving more importance to the Indian film more than Bangladeshi one? Does honour of acting in foreign films outweigh that of acting in Bangladeshi films for her?
