Jaya Ahsan is a popular actress in both Bangladesh and West Bengal. Her fame has reached so far and wide that she is now known in Kolkata more at recent times because of her continuous endeavors across the border. If she is in Bangladesh then she will be India tomorrow. But her works are not limited to only these two countries. Her efforts have landed her in international film festivals too.
India's prestigious cinema festival ‘21st Kerala International Film Festival’ has selected Jaya’s ‘Binisutoy’ for screening at the festival. In addition, she is taking part in the ‘50th International Film Festival of India, Goa’. ‘Ek Je Chilo Raja’ directed by Srijit Mukherji will be screened at the festival.
Regarding the festival of Kerala, Joya Ahsan said, “The festival will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from December 6 to 12. Each year it nominates the best Indian films of various languages in the 'Indian Cinema Now' category. ‘Binisutoy’ has been selected as a film of Bengali language.”
It is reported that this year, along with ‘Binisutoy’, there are more opportunities for ‘Hellaro’ (Gujarati), ‘Mai Ghat’ (Marathi), ‘Leoduh’ (Khasi), ‘The Funeral’ (Hindi), ‘Anandi Gopal’ (Marathi) and ‘Axon’ (Hindi).
Chandrayi Ghosh, Kaushik Sen, Reshmi Sen, Kheya Chattopadhyay also starred alongside Jaya in the film ‘Binisutoy’.
On the other hand, Jishu Sengupta, Rajnandini Pal, Anirban Bhattacharya and Aparna Sen along with others have also performed alongside Jaya in ‘Ek Je Chilo Raja’.
Meanwhile, Jaya Ahsan has tied up with Kolkata director Kaushik Ganguly's ‘Ardhangini’ after the sequel to ‘Ek Je Chilo Raja’ and ‘Binisutoy’ sequences ‘Bishorjon’ and ‘Bijoya’.
