The Alhaj Jasim Uddin Foundation, a voluntary organisation, held a discussion meeting and scholarship form distribution event with heads of all educational institutions in Raozan, Chattogram.
The event took place on Wednesday at the Raozan Upazila Administration Hall, where 5,000 scholarship forms were distributed under the Jasim Uddin Education Scholarship Project.
Presided over by Sajal Chandra Chand, Academic Supervisor at the Upazila Secondary Education Office, the event's chief guest was businessman Alhaj Mokhtar Ahmed, Director of the Almas Yunus and Jasim Uddin Foundations. The keynote speaker was Mohammad Habib Ullah Master, Head Teacher of Noapara High School and a foundation official.
Organised by Maulana Faridul Islam Ansari, the meeting featured greetings from journalist S. M. Yusuf Uddin and included foundation members such as social worker Alhaj Muhammad Yasin, Alhaj Muhammad Faruq-e-Azam, businessman Sarwar Alam, and Islami Bank officials Nurul Absar and Muhammad Harunur Rashid.
It was announced that a special event will be held on 7 August at Jasim Uddin’s ancestral village in Noapara Union to formally hand over the year-long scholarships to the selected students. In the first phase, students from class six to twelve are being covered, with future phases including madrasa Hifz students.
