Jashore board chairman cuts paddy

Chairman of Jashore Education Board prof. Mollah Amir Hossain helped cut the paddy of a sharecropper's land on Tuesday. He was accompanied by 30 teachers and students of Noapara Government College. 

On the basis of voluntary labour, everyone cut the paddy of one bigha of land belonging to Shahidul Biswas of Chalishia Charabattola village of Abhaynagar upazila in Jashore district.

Noapara College Principal Rabiul Hasan and Board Officer Engineer Kamal Hossain were present among others.

Farmer Shahidul Biswas said, ‘I could not have imagined that the teachers and students under the leadership of the chairman would cut the ripe paddy of my land. I am very happy to have the paddy cut.'

Noapara College Principal Rabiul Hasan said, "Under the direction of our Prime Minister, we have been able to cut the paddy of poor farmer Shahidul with the Chairman of Jashore Education Board." We are all happy to be able to cut his paddy voluntarily amidst the deadly pandemic.

Board Officer Engineer Kamal Hossain said, "Our Chairman himself is going to the field to cut the paddy so that no farmer's ripe paddy goes to waste due to the pandemic."
