The century-old Anjuman-e Rahmania Ahmadia Sunnia Trust organised a grand Jashn-e Julus on the occasion of Eid-e Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) in Chattogram on Saturday.

Streets across Chattogram were transformed into a sea of devotion as millions of Muslims joined in celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Addressing the gathering, Awlad-e-Rasul, Peer-e Bangal Allama Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah (Mudda Zilluhul Ali), described the day as one of divine blessing and a moment of profound gratitude. He reminded the faithful that Allah has favored the Ummah by making them followers of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)."

He said, praising the extraordinary enthusiasm with which Chattogram’s Muslims participated in the Julus. The scale and passion of the procession was unparalleled anywhere in the world.

"Allah says: ‘Guide us to the straight path, the path of those who have received Your blessings.’ Allah the Exalted has said: ‘O Believers send Salat, send Salam.’ In the Julus, the lovers of the Prophet recite Salat and Salam. Allah has further said: ‘When you receive the grace and mercy of Allah, then celebrate with joy.’ He has given the Qur’an, He has given the Owner of the Qur’an, and He has given Rahmatul-lil-Alamin (Mercy for all the worlds). So today, when you have received such a great blessing, you have celebrated with joy."

He added, "We are in the path (Tariqa) of the Sufis — in the Tariqa of Ghaus-e-Azam, in the Tariqa of Khwaja Chowhrawi, in the Tariqa of Shahanshah-e-Sirikoti. Today marks the completion of 54 years of the Julus. I say with certainty: there is no treachery here, no terrorism here, no politics here; what exists here is the bond of love. This we have received from Huzur Syed Ahmad Shah and Huzur Tayyeb Shah. Today, in Jamea, 10,000 students are receiving education in Qur’an, Hadith, and spirituality. Gausia Committee, Dawat-e-Khair — such institutions and opportunities have not been granted to anyone else. These are trusts (Amanat). The custodianship of these trusts has been placed by the blessed Huzurs upon the Bengalis. You must safeguard them.

Every day new Fitnas arise. Huzur has already said there will be 73 sects, of which only one will be saved. The programme of the false ones is to dishonor Huzur; and it is our good fortune that we are describing the honor of Huzur. Therefore, remain engaged with the Awliya-e-Kiram and the institutions that they have given us.”

Sahibzada Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah (Mudda Zilluhul Ali) also spoke at the event as the Chief Guest, congratulating the people of Chattogram for hosting what he called the largest Mawlid procession in the world. Quoting Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Rahmatullahi Ta'ala Alayhi), he emphasized the centrality of the Prophet  in creation: “Without him, nothing would exist. He is life itself, and the world exists because he lives.” His address reminded the faithful of their responsibility as the followers of the Prophet (PBUH) to live in accordance with his mercy and compassion.

Sahibzada Syed Mehmood Ahmed Shah was present there as the special guest of the whole programme.

Chattogram City Mayor and Julus Sub-Committee Advisor Dr. Shahadat Hossain described the city as being immersed in an atmosphere of festivity, light, and reverence on this sacred occasion. He underscored the need for unity among Muslims, saying, “Whatever divisions may exist among us, we are united in our love and respect for Allah and His Messenger Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). On this blessed day, the Ummah must pledge to follow the ideals of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).”

Senior Vice President of Anjuman Trust, Mohammad Monzur Alam, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the spiritual leaders and expressed gratitude to the countless devotees who took part in the Julus. He also thanked civic and administrative authorities, including the Chattogram City Corporation, district commissioner and police commissioner, Public and Private administration, Print-Electronic-Online Media and other authorities and mass people for their co-operation in ensuring the success of the event.

Secretary General Mohammad Anwar Hossain declared this year’s Julus the largest in history. “Since its inception in 1974, the Chattogram Julus has grown from a local initiative into a rally and festival of millions, becoming a landmark of Islamic devotion in Bangladesh,” he said.
