Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe wanted to know about the mystery of Bangladesh’s magical development, Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, President, Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), said on Sunday. He came up with this statement at an orientation class of the newly appointed 4,443 doctors at International Convention City Bashundhara in the city.
“When Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was visiting Japan, her counterpart Shinzō Abe asked her about the magic behind the tremendous development of Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina replied that she would share the ‘secret of successes during the bilateral meeting,” Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin said.
The BMA President said whenever they go abroad for various purposes they all have to face the same question. “We use to tell the foreign people as our prime minister endears the people as the cornerstone of her politics, the country is witnessing a remarkable development, progress, entailing welfare-oriented endeavours, under her charismatic leadership,” he added.
He said only Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s dynamic leadership has made Bangladesh the role model across the globe of its all sectors. Earlier, on November 19, a gazette notification was published over the appointment of 4,443 doctors under the 39th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).
The Ministry of Public Administration issued the notification, appointing 4,203 assistant surgeons and 240 assistant dental surgeons. Later, the appointees have been asked to join their respective workplaces as directed by the ministry concerned by Sunday (December 8).
A total of 13,219 candidates qualified for the posts of Assistant Surgeon and 531 candidates for the posts of Assistant Dental Surgeon in the preliminary test.
