Deputy Governor of Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Nobumitsu Hayashi on Sunday expressed his country’s interest to invest in different sectors of Bangladesh. He said Bangladesh is a suitable place for investment, especially the power sector and sugar industry.
Nobumitsu Hayashi expressed the interest during a meeting with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal at the latter’s office at Sher-e-Banglanagar in the city on Sunday. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said, “If they invest in different sector here, we hope that it will open another new window in the country.”
Observing that japan is one of the major development partners of Bangladesh, the minister mentioned, “We want to build different industries which have demand home and abroad.” He said the country needs to increase industries for ensuring job for all unemployed to maintain sustainable economic growth.
