Jatiya Party (JaPa) and Workers Party of Bangladesh on Monday started selling its nomination forms among the aspirant candidates of the 12th parliamentary election, scheduled to be held on January 7, 2024.
Jatiya Party's senior co-chairman Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud inaugurated the selling of nomination papers at the party's chairman office in the city's Banani, said a party press release.
Jatiya Party secretary general Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu, Co-chairmans - ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Kazi Firoz Rashid, Sayed Abu Hossain Babla and Advocate Salma Islam, among others, were present at the event.
Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader collected nomination form today. A total of 557 nomination forms were sold on the first day.
Workers Party of Bangladesh on Monday formed the 12th national election conducting committee.
Committee members of the party are its politburo members Mahmudul Hasan Manik, Kamrul Hasan, comrade Tapan Datta Chowdhury, comrade Dipankar Saha Dipu and comrade Mostafa Alamgir Ratan.
