Jane Fonda to receive lifetime achievement award


The 75th edition of the Golden Globe Awards will be held on February 28. US actress Jane Fonda is receiving a lifetime achievement award at this year’s event. The Cecil B. DeMille Award will be given to her in Beverly Hills, California, United States.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) holds the Golden Globe Awards. They told the British media BBC that Jane Fonda’s great talent had taken her to the “pinnacle of success.”

The 83-year-old actress’s colorful career spans six decades. She is still showing magic in old bones. She recently starred in Netflix’s comedy series ‘Grace and Frankie’.

Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda made her acting debut in 1960. Movies like ‘Barbarella’, ‘Nine to Five’ and ‘On Golden Pond’ put her in the seat of the brightest star in Hollywood.

Besides acting, Jane Fonda is known as a social worker. She opposed the Vietnam War in the 1960s and has recently played a vocal role against climate change. She even celebrated Thanksgiving with protesters.    —BBC
