Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday morning arrested Shaogat Arman, Manager of Jamuna Bank’s Bogura branch, for allegedly misappropriating Tk 12 crore 16 lakh. He has been sent to the jail through the court.
It is learnt, during his tenure as the Manager of Jamuna Bank, Bogura branch, Saogat Arman drew Taka 12 crore 16 lakh from various accounts of the bank through forgery and misappropriated that by depositing the money to his personal account.
Aminul Islam, Assistant Director of ACC Bogura informed, the ACC team conducted inquiry as per the allegations of the local account holders of the bank. The inquiry found the authenticity with the allegation of misappropriation of the money by Manager Shaogat Arman and ACC on Tuesday night arrested Shaogat and sent him to Bogura thana custody.
On Wednesday, ACC AD of Bogura Aninul Islam filed a case against against Shaogat Arman and sent him to the jail custody through the court.
