Police have arrested one person with 800 pieces of Yaba tablets from Pathar Char of Dangdhara Union of Dewanganj Upazila of Jamalpur.
Sanandbari Police Investigation Center Officer Abdur Rahim said on Monday evening, Sanandbari PIC in-charge Abdur Rahim, along with SI Rayhan, along with the force, set up a check post in front of the Patherchar toll house of Dangdhara Union and searched the Dhaka-bound passenger bus leaving Roumari.
At this time, police searched the body of a person named Salim and recovered 800 pieces of Yaba.
He is the son of deceased Abdus Samad of Purba Kawarchar village of Roumari upazila of Kurigram district.
The arrested accused was handed over to Dewanganj Model Police Station on Tuesday. A case under the Narcotics Act has been filed against them at Dewanganj Model Police Station.
