Jamaat organises free medical camp for Sanatani Community in Chattogram

A special free medical camp dedicated to members of the Sanatani (Hindu) community was organised in Chattogram on Friday by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, in collaboration with Metropolitan Hospital.

The event took place in the East Bakalia Ward and was presided over by local Ward Ameer Md. Wahid Morshed. Faisal Md. Yunus, Assistant Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Chattogram Metropolitan, attended as the chief guest, alongside Bakalia Thana Ameer Sultan Ahmed.

Also present were Ward Secretary Nasir Sawdagar, Baitul Mal Secretary Ali Akbar, Puja Celebration Committee Bakalia Thana President Mitra Kumar Shil, Thana Secretary and Ward President Rajkumar, Ward Secretary Narayan Bikash, and Janmashtami Celebration Committee President Mukesh Chandra Shil.

The camp's operations were managed by Mohammad Aman Ullah Aman, Deputy General Manager and Head of Business Development at Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital.

Organisers stated that such initiatives are part of an ongoing effort to provide free medical services to disadvantaged individuals, regardless of religion or caste. They emphasised the importance of community harmony and assured that similar programmes will continue in the future to support those in need across all communities.
