A rally of student and people was held in Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district on Sunday arranged by Pirganj upazila Jamaat-e-Islam.
The rally was held at Khamar Naraynpur Futani Town Bazar in Pirganj upazila in the afternoon on the day.
Pirganj Municipality and Pirganj union unit under Jamaat-e-Islam Bangladesh Pirganj upazila branch organized the rally. Thakurgaon district Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Belal Uddin spoke as the chief guest at the rally while Ranisankail upazila Ameer Maulana Rafiqul Islam spoke as the special guest. Pirganj upazila Jamaat Ameer Bablur Rashid also spoke at the programme.
Pirganj upazila Jamaat Secretary Golam Mostafa, former Ameer Professor Nazrul Islam, secretary Babul Ahmed, Pirganj union Jamaat Ameer Maulana Hussain Ali and Kazi Obaidur Rahman, municipality Jamaat leader Hafizul Islam, Islami Chhatrashibir Pirganj upazila north unit president Amir Hamja and others spoke at the rally as well.
District and upazila leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islam and Chhatrashibir were present at that time.
