IZAPY and SCSL evaluate Meghna Bank’s cyber security

Meghna Bank Ltd signed an agreement with Singaporean Cyber Security Venture IZAPY and Star Computer Systems Ltd for evaluating bank’s cyber security at a programme held at banks head office in the capital recently.

Officials exchanged the documents of the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Adil Islam, Managing Director and CEO of the Bank, Rezwana Khan, CEO of Star Computer Systems Limited (SCSL), and Dr. Srini Balasubramanian, Founder and CEO, IZAPY, were present at the agreement signing ceremony.

Among others, Hamid Khan, Technical Consultant to Asian countries of SCSL, Md. Hasanur Rahman, Vice-President and Head of IT division of Meghna Bank, Md. Abu Nayeem Chowdhury, Senior Executive and Business Development and Project Director of SCSL; Ariful Islam, Head of Retail, Meghna Bank Limited; Farhana Kazi, Head of Liability and Wealth Management Division of the bank; and other senior officials of both organizations were also present at that time.

Md. Hasanur Rahman, Vice-President and Head of IT Division of Meghna Bank Ltd, said, “Cybersecurity become growing concern for the banking sector of the world. As the hackers try to loot banks money by cyber breach, now-a-days every bank has investing huge money to strengthen the security system. To protect the every transaction of the customers of the bank and digital services which is going to open soon, we officially signed the agreement with Singaporean Cyber Security Venture IZAPY and Star Computer Systems Ltd to assess the cybersecurity of the bank.

Rezwana Khan, CEO of Star Computer Systems Limited (SCSL), said, “We are very happy to announce this comprehensive security partnership, which is designed to weigh up the cybersecurity-related needs of the Meghna Bank. Under this agreement, we will provide services of cybersecurity penetration exploitation, cybersecurity threat assessments, cyber breach response and other security solutions. In addition, we are also expanding our global presence in Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Brunei and Singapore through our specialized branches and cyber security ventures. We will also expand our business depending on market demands and prospects.”

She also said, “We (venture) have patented (IP) Cyber Security smart black box which will be launched soon in the country which can continuously do all types of VA& PT execution without human intervention as well as can do the scanning into various level of hardware, network & WiFi; it is our advance move to the process of Introducing complete security strategy.”

Dr. Srini Balasubramanian, Founder and CEO of IZAPY, said, “Meghna Bank has the process, expert team and infrastructures to providing banking efficiently. After assessed the every security issues of the bank, we will inform the bank and recommendations of fixing as soon as we found any possible cyber breach. We believe this will help them to ensure protection of the bank before any hackers do harm of its security systems.”
