To expand student's critical thinking, problem-solving capacities and experience of personal growth through a friendly competitive environment, Department of Computer Science and Engineering organised “Intra IUB Tech Fest- Summer 19” on Friday.
The aim of this tech fest is to create a platform for students to get exposure to the technical field and get a chance to enhance their knowledge gained from the courses and to showcase their ability and apply it in the real world. More than 500 students participated in this event. The event was supported by Fablab IUB, IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter IUB and IUB ACM Chapter.
Tech fest comprised a total of six segments - Line following Robot (LFR), Hackathon, Soccer Bot, Remote Controlled Bot Race, Programming Contest and Project Showcase. The total prize pool of the segments was BDT 200,000. Dr Mahady Hasan, head, Department of CSE was present in the prize giving ceremony. Winners and runner-ups of all six segments also received certificates of recognition.
