The IEEE Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) Student Branch in association with the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department hosted a seminar on “Current Technology Trend in USA and Importance of Hardware and Firmware Security” at their permanent campus in Dhaka on 2 July.
The seminar was held on in order to know the opportunity and start career in USA especially in EEE and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) field, the new graduates must know the current technology trends over there.
Mahbubul Alam Miazi, senior Firmware engineer at Intel Corporation was the speaker of the event. Professor Khosru M Salim, head of EEE department introduced the speaker to the audience. During the seminar Mahbubul Alam Miazi discussed about the various fields of technology that are currently trending in the USA, which includes the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, cloud computing, autonomous vehicle development and security of hardware and firmware.
He also shared with the participants some valuable insight on the significant importance of hardware and firmware security based upon his vast experience of working in the software firms.
From the seminar the participants were able to learn about the popular technological trends in USA and what needs to be done to be successful in these fields.
The seminar was informative for the ones who are planning to move in the USA for their higher study and career.
A large number of students and faculty members of EEE department attended in the seminar. A crest is handed over to the speaker by Dr Md Abdur Razzak, the mentor of IEEE IUB Student Branch as a token of appreciation.
