Around four hundred officials of Islamic University observed work abstention programme demanding fulfillment of their three-point charter on the campus in Kushtia on Monday.
The officials staged their demon under the banner of IU Officers’ Association with observed work abstention from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
The three demands including increasing of salary scale and the age limit of retirement to 62 years from 60 years and change the working hours of the university from 8:00am to 2:00pm instead of 9:00am to 4:30pm.
Shamsul Islam Joha, president of IU Officers' Association said that they would continue their demonstration on the campus until their demands are met.
Consequently, the administrative activities of the university became halted seriously.
