IU holds doa mahfil for Uttara jet crash victims

Islamic University (IU) observed a day of mourning on Tuesday following the tragic death of several people, including children, in a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara.

As part of the national mourning, flags were flown at half-mast across all university buildings. A special prayer was held after Zuhr at the Central Mosque, seeking eternal peace for the deceased and recovery for the injured.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M. Ayub Ali, Treasurer Prof Dr Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Acting Registrar Prof Dr Md Manjurul Hoque, and other faculty members, staff, students, and student leaders attended. The prayer was led by Chief Imam Ashraf Uddin Khan. Black badges were worn in remembrance.
