IU English department’s reunion on Mar 20

A two-day reunion of English Department Alumni Association of Islamic University will take place on the campus in Kushtia on March 20-21.

Current and former students of the department will bring out a colourful procession, led by the department’s chair from in front of Rabindra-Nazrul arts’ building in the morning.

The procession will end at Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium after parading through the campus.

Later, a discussion programme will be held. IU Vice-Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will be present as the chief guest while Pro-VC Professor M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha will be present as special guests.

After the discussion, a cultural function, quiz competition, and prize giving ceremony will be held at the auditorium.

“I’m requesting all executive committee members and alumnus to come forward to make our programme successful and memorable,” IU English department Alumni Association President Monowar Azad said.
