The leaders and activists of Islamic University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League,the student wing of ruling Awami League, congratulatednew president and secretary on Monday.
Over thousand activists of different departments and halls received their respective leaders with flower necklace in front of main entrance around 12:00pm of the university.
A victory procession was brought outto congratulate them on the campus while President Robiul Islam and secretary RakibulIslamRakibplacedfloral wreath at Mrittunjoyee Mojib.
After parading the main roads of the university BCL men met with vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, provice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, its treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha of the university and discussed on the contemporary problems on the campus.
Later,the newly president and secretary made an open discussion with IU Journalists’ Association and Press Club at university Press Corner whereas Emran Shuvra,president ofIUJA presided over the programme.
