IU Bangabandhu Parishad pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Islamic University unit of Bangabandhu Parishad paid  rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths at his grave in Tungipara on Thursday afternoon.

IU unit president of the platform Prof Dr M Mahbubur Rahman and secretary Prof Dr M Mahbubul Arfin led the delegation in Tungipara.  Vice president of the organisation Prof Dr Anowar Hossain, Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman, Prof Dr Jahangir Hossain and M Shamsul Islam Joha, joint secretary Prof Dr Anwarul Haque Swapon and Mir Morshedur Rahman, Prof Dr AHM Aktherul Islam Zillu, president of Jhenaidah district unit of Bangabandhu Parishad and its secretary M Hafizur Rahman were present at the time, among others.

Kushtia district unit led by its joint secretary Amanur Rahman placed floral wreath at the copestone of Bangabandhu jointly. Later, they offered Fateha and joined munajat seeing eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and his family members who martyred on August 15 in 1975.

Earlier, the wing push along to Tungipara in Gopalgang with full of four buses members of the Bangabandhu Parisad unit of the university. On contract IU BP Secretary Dr Arfin said, they chalked out yearlong programmes to observe Mujib year amid festivity.

As part of the schedule, they went to visit the copestone of Bangabandhu in Tungipara, he added.
