When it comes to snacking out, quality food and a comfortable ambience is not enough, it is considered too mainstream these days. To break the monotony, some people have dared to think out-of-the-box and come up with the themes which have the power to tickle a customer's fancies.

Nau, a brainchild of five friends has been launched to bring the perfect snacks to the Dhaka food scene. For all kooky food-lovers out there, Naorose Bin Ali, Daniel Rahman, Shahriar Sakib Rahman, Fahim Hossain and Farhan Aziz have smacked up together to bring about a genuine snack item. Nau’s specialises in Korean egg bread which is a popular form of street snack in Korea and other parts of Asia. While traditionally these breads are filled with eggs, Nau is recreating these cute steamed little loaves of bread with a twist adding different kinds of fillings.

“We wanted to make something special for kids. The snack comprises of tasty and healthy fillings. The dishes are perfect to suit their delicate taste buds. And these are becoming popular among kids who want something quick, sweet and savory”, said Naorose Bin Ali, one of the co-owners of Nau. The place is not that big in terms of accommodating a large number of people. But the vibrant quirky paintings on the wall turn the whole surrounding into a special one.

They are currently serving three different flavours; two sweet and one savory. Kreamcheese is soft and moist, and the cream cheese layer ensures more tender result. It has the perfect balance of sweetness with a hint of tanginess. Number 10 has molted nutella filling which taste both sweet and fluffy. Keesh, a savory one is filled up with cheese, beef and leak, is completely irresistible. Nau is offering these cute little breads at BDT 240 per pair.

More bread named Classic Kustard, Big P and Nurjahan are on their pipeline. The fillings are customizable and they are bringing out flavour of Deshi Paneer and homemade Egg Halwa. The owners are hoping that everybody will like it. Also Nau will introduce Cold Coffee (BDT 90) and Chafee (BDT 60) by the end of this year.

The quality is enough to prove their supremacy. The smell of the egg is as sweet as that of the fresh waffles. This is a perfect snack or small morning meal for students and office goers. The sweet bread with the delicious filling is the perfect combo. Nau has a fancy egg bread machine with handy little slots for pouring in the egg bread mix and cooking until it gets golden brown.

The service is decent and the servers are fairly polite. Now, that I have listed all the reasons to go to this Snack bar, what are you waiting for? Drop by to discover more.
