Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said, "BNP's 27 point is actually a mockery with the people. It is not the state, but BNP needs to be repaired." He said this in response to a question during an exchange of views with journalists at the secretariat on Wednesday afternoon.

Dr Hasan said, 'BNP needs to be repaired because the way they have stood against the people for the last 14 years, played politics of holding the people hostage, killed people in the name of politics, burnt people alive, people are naturally scared when such a political party talks about repairing the state. either.'

The Information Minister said, "Many of the 27 points of BNP are in conflict with the policies they are pursuing. On the one hand, as they have allied with the fundamentalist parties, the main ideology of some of them is to take Bangladesh to the level of Afghanistan as a religious state, on the other hand, BNP has given the clause 'Religion belongs to each, state belongs to all', that is, it is very contradictory in their words and actions.

Referring to 'this 27 point of BNP is actually hypocrisy with the people', the Information and Broadcasting Minister said, 'It is said in point 13 of their 27 points that there will be no compromise on corruption. The detractors say that BNP actually means by this - they will continue the corruption as before. Because those who have made the country champions of corruption five times in a row, who have institutionalized corruption by building skyscrapers and running a parallel government, when they say that there will be no compromise on corruption, it means that they will walk on the same path of corruption as before.

Awami League's joint general secretary Hasan said, "Why is it called state repair!" It is not right to name the clauses in this way. Is it a factory that needs to be repaired! Actually BNP needs repair. In addition, those whose brains are coming from them, their brains also need repair.

Ali Azam, the local leader of BNP on parole for a few hours from the Kaliakair prison in Gazipur, in response to the question about attending the funeral of his mother while being cuffed. Dr Hasan said, "I checked the matter and spoke to the police administration of Gazipur. Fencing and handcuffing is the work of the prison administration. It is not under the police, there is an IG Prison, under that administration. As some militants had escaped a few days ago and investigation revealed that proper precautions were not taken against them, they have taken extra precautions.'

The information and Broadcasting minister said, 'I have spoken to senior police officers, they did not know about the matter. Only those who brought that BNP leader knew, no one else knew. But I think it would have been better to remove his shackles and handcuffs during the funeral.

The Chief Election Commissioner has once again emphasized on the participation of BNP to make the elections participative. We also want all political parties including BNP to participate in the elections. We want a competitive fair, transparent, participatory election. Whether BNP participates in the election or not is entirely their own business.

Hasan Mahmud said, "However, it is not in the word - the donkey eats muddy water" and said, "Just as BNP did not move from the Nayapaltan office on the 10th, it later went to the cow market. In this case, I firmly believe that BNP will come to the elections in the interest of sustaining their party.
