ISPR to open Bureau office in Ctg

The authority of Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR), a spokesman of Defence Forces, is going to soon open a divisional Bureau office in Chattogram for quick dissemination of the information with the journalists, reports BSS.

The setting up of bureau offices of ISPR in some divisional headquarters has already been finalized and changes in organizational structures have been brought about of ISPR. ISPR director Lt. Col. Abdullah Ibn Zaid disclosed this while exchanging views with the journalists at Chattogram Press Club (CPC) on Sunday.

He said ISPR always disseminates the authentic information with the journalists and it has been striving hard to help the journalists with true information at the quickest possible time. Lt. Col. Zaid termed Chattogram as the second largest press gathering in the country and said there are many important infantry divisions including head quarters of Naval Academy and the media in Chattogram is very vibrant.

He also urged the journalists to present objective news before the nation with spirit of patriotism and ISPR will try to make a liaison with the media. The director said ISPR has been working for the well being of the country and their website is operating round the clock with contact numbers of the responsible officers.

Officer of 24th infantry division Major Abu Sayed Golam Mowla, Assistant Directors of ISPR Nur Islam, Tapashi Rabeya were present on the occasion. CPC President Ali Abbas, senior vice president Salahuddin Reza, General Secretary Chowdhury Farid, Chattogram Union of Journalists secretary Hasan Ferdous, President of TV Journalist Association Nasiruddin Tota, senior journalists Samir Kanti Barua, Shamsul Hoque Hayderi, Hasan Akbar, Nirupam Das Gupto, Sarwar Suman, Shahidullah Shahrier among others spoke on the occasion.
