Ishwardi Municipal Eleven clinched the trophy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Gold Cup Under-17 football tournament defeating
Pakshi Union Parishad by a solitary goal.
Held at the Sara Maroari Model School & College on Friday afternoon Ishwardi Municipal Eleven emerged champions of the most popular football tournament in Upazilla.
Striker Jim was the lone scorer for the winners. Ishwardi Municipal Eleven celebrated the championship of the tournament for six times.
Meanwhile, Ishwardi Upzila administration organised the tournament after the name of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with the financial help by the Ministry for Youth and Sports. A total of eight teams took part in the competition.
Emdadul Haque Rana, chairman of the Ishwardi Upzila distributed the trophies among the champions and the runner-up, as the chief guest.
