‘Iqra International’ stands by people with disabilities

As part of its support for people with disabilities, ‘Iqra International’ organised a food distribution programme at Bayompur village under Kanaighat upazila in Sylhet on Saturday (August 8).

Under the overall guidance and patronage of Badruzzaman, who is now living in London, locals organised this programme. Each sack distributed at the time, contained a variety of food items.

Vice Chairman of Kanaighat Upazila Parishad Maulana Abdullah Shakir was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Upazila Rural Development Officer of Golapganj Abdul Mohaimin Chowdhury, teacher of Kanaighat Darul Uloom Madrasa Maulana Asad Uddin, leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Moazzem Hossain Al Amin and others were present there.

In his speech, Maulana Abdullah Shakir said, “These special people are getting support mainly because of Monwar Hossain Badruddoza, the founding chairman of Iqra International. Many thanks to his friend Badruzzaman for continuing this effort even after his death. We request Badruzzaman that if these people were treated, we would be eternally grateful.”

Alongside Abdullah Shakir, other guests and local people also expressed their gratitude to Badruzzaman for his efforts.

Badruzzaman, a member of Iqbra International's board of trustees, thanked the locals for organizing and completing the food distribution program for the disabled. People with disabilities also expressed their gratitude to Badruzzaman and Iqra International.
