Drama director and freedom fighter Nasiruddin Yusuf called upon the young generation to be inspired by the ideals of Bangabandhu with the aim of building a self-reliant Bangladesh.
He made the remarks while celebrating Bangabandhu's birth anniversary at an international conference on heart disease organized by IPOI Foundation at Hotel Sonargaon in the capital on Thursday. Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, he said Bangabandhu would forever be immortal in the memory of Bengalis for his successful leadership in building ethnic unity among the entire Bengali nation and establishing an independent Bangladesh in 1971.There is no alternative to proper analysis of the history of Liberation War and Bangladesh in building an intellectually conscious nation. Bangabandhu is being researched in different countries of the world.
He hoped that the field of Bangabandhu practice and research would be more extensive in Bangladesh as well. President of IPDI Foundation Prof Abdul Wadud Chowdhury presided over the function.
Freedom fighter Nasir Uddin Yusuf, freedom fighter & cardiologist Professor H Luliur Rahman and freedom fighter poet and cardiologist Prof. Dr.Nazir Ahmed Chowdhury was given special freedom fighter honors. Honorable freedom fighters rgminisced about their participation in the liberation war and various incidents during the war. A cake was cut on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth centenary.
After that songs, dances and poems in memory of Bangabandhu were performed in a pleasant cultural program, IPDI Foundation Founder and Secretary General.
Mohsin Ahmed expressed his deep respect to Bangabandhu and all the freedom fighters and said in his greeting speech. The IPDI Foundation,an affiliate of Healthy Heart Happy Life Organization (Hello), has been providing training and research in professional development to meet the challenges of the twentieth century.
He thanked all the well-wishers for gaining full membership of the World Heart Federation in recognition of raising awareness among the general public about heart disease, medical assistance and research work.
He expressed his commitment that the Hello-IPOI Foundation would work for the implementation of the Vision 2021-2041 plan of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build this golden Bengal in return for the sacrifices of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and freedom fighters.
