IPDC, BSCMS to organize BD supply chain awards


IPDC Finance Limited, is going to organise Supply Chain Excellence Award (BSCEA) 2019 in association with Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS), following its massive success in 2018.  

In a press briefing at Pan pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Managing Director and CEO of IPDC Finance Mominul Islam, while sharing more insights about the award ceremony have confirmed this to media. 

He said, “Following its massive success last year, we are glad to bring you the Bangladesh Supply Chain Awards 2019. We have always believed in mutually beneficial partnerships to leverage activity, experience and resource and to propagate and accredit the best practices in Supply Chain Management across industries that promote collaboration, we have taken the initiative, as of yet again” Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Awards (BSCEA) recognizes outstanding individual and organizational contributions in advancement of Supply chain knowledge and practices across the industries in Bangladesh. 

International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA), Bangladesh will be the knowledge partner for the event. Awardees, just like the previous year will be recognized on the basis of their high impact contribution during 2018 in various areas of Supply Chain Management in Manufacturing and Service Organizations.  Corporate Affairs Director and President of Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS) Naquib Khan said, “The success of any business, amid fierce competition and global challenges, is inextricably linked to the performance of its supply chain. The Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Award 2019 is certainly a big recognition of the works in advancing Supply Chain Knowledge and Practices across the industries that operate in Bangladesh. 

This will positively contribute to ‘Developing responsiveness’ towards achieving our vision of Middle Income Country by 2021 and Developed Country by 2041” Ejazur Rahman, CEO-Asia, International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) said, “SCM is important because it increases competitiveness and customer satisfaction. In this day and age, SCM plays an integral part of a firm's success. Efficiently running supply chains allow firms to quickly deliver products to the end-user for a low cost. This kind of initiatives will help boost the importance of such business aspects within industries and organizations. I am glad to be a part of it.”  The award will be given in 11 different categories which includes supply chain collaboration and partnering, supply chain talent development, manufacturing excellence, supply chain finance management, logistics and transportation management, customer service, warehousing and distribution, supply chain planning process, technology as supply chain enabler, supply chain sustainability, young supply chain talent of the year, and supply chain professional of the year.
