The FBCCI president Jashim Uddin urged the expatriates to invest in the country, assuring of all possible assistance from the FBCCI in this regard.
The President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), now visiting UK, was addressing a reception, accorded to him by the New England Awami League on Friday.
A view exchange meeting also took place on the occasion at a local restaurant.
The meeting adiscussed the current economic progress of the country, development strategies, potential sectors for expatriate investment, import-export and other issues were also discussed.
Osman Gani, president of the New England Awami League, presided over the view exchange meeting while General Secretary Suhas Barua and Women's Awami League President Nasim Parveen, General Secretary Misha Rahman congratulated Md. Jasim Uddin on the occasion.
On the occasion, New England Awami League President Osman Gani praised the important role of FBCCI in various economic and developmental activities of the government.
