An intra university debate championship 2019 and workshop on improvement of debating skill organized by Manusher Jonno Foundation & Debate for Humanity was held on 22 May at Southeast University (SEU) seminar hall in the capital. The title of the competition was "Shampreetir Jonno Bitorko".
Around 130 students from various department of SEU took part in it. Taker Aziz, president of Debate for Humanity, inaugurated the programme.
Team Jagoron13 won the championship and the participants were AL Sany, Rakib Emon and Mohmood Riaz.
Team Projonmo was the runner-up team and the participants were Akram Ullah, Farhana Sultana and Mahfuz Abdullah.
Among others, Safiqur Rahman, chairperson, Abdullah al Zunaid, general secretary, S M Shariar, organizing secretary of Debate for Humanity, Md Jamal Uddin, director of CPDS, Madiha Khan, moderator, Kazi Parvez Jibon, assistant moderator, Ashraful Alam Munna, president and Rohan Rahman, advisor of SEU Debate Club were also present in the competition.
