The International Migrants Day-2019 was observed across the country on Wednesday.
In Chuadanga, a rally was brought out by the Deputy Commissioners office marking the day, reports our Chuadanga Correspondent.
The procession started from the Deputy Commissioners office. Later a discussion took place presided by Yah Ya Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chuadanga. Chuadanga Correspondent:
Deputy Commissioner Nazrul Islam Sarkar was the chief guest of the event while the Superintendent of Technical Training Center (TTC), KM Mijanur Rahman was the special guest.
In Jhenidah, the day was observed in Jhenidah with due enthusiasm on Wednesday. Jhenidah district administration and district employment and manpower office jointly organized the programme, reports our Roving Correspondent
A clourful rally with banner, festoon ad placards paraded the main roads in the town. The slogan “Only skill manpower can ensure both money and hounour” was the theme of the day.
A discussion meeting was held at Jhenidah Old DC Court Muktamancha where deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath, additional deputy commissioner (general) Arif Uz Zaman, additional superintendent of police in Jhenidah Sadar circle Tarek Al Mehedi, Jhenidah Sadar upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Badruddoza Shubho, assistant director of district employment and manpower office Sabita Rani Majumder among others spoke.
The speakers urged upon the intending people to enrich them with skill training and efficiency from various governments and government authorized institutions before stating mission in abroad for jobs. It will ensure both money and honour in the family and society. Otherwise the might have to face some untoward incidents, they said.
In Lakshmipur, International Migrants Day programme was held in Lakshmipur in the initiative of district Administration, reports our Lakshmipur Correspondent.
Deputy Commissioner of Lakshmipur Anjan Chandra Pal led a rally from the district Collectorate marking the day, which circled important points of the town. Later, a discussion was held at Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Shafiuzzaman presided over the discussion while, people from different sectors including students and officials attended it.
