The closing ceremony of the three-day International Conference on Science and Contemporary Technologies (ICSCT) organized by Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) was held on August 07, 2021 in Dhaka, where nearly 200 researchers from more than 20 different countries of the world attended. Through virtual mode, the Conference, wassupportedby the IEEE Bangladesh section, ICT Division of Bangladesh Govt. and PRAN-RFL Group, with a view to achieve scientific and technological developmentsin the fields of Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, industry 4 Applications, business informatics, robotics, cyber systems etc. A cultural program was also organized by BUBT Cultural Club after the Closing Session.
As the Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, State Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladeshstated: “We need more innovations and ideas to make Bangladesh digital. We expect that researchers and scientists will sincerely work for the betterment of our beloved motherland and human civilization in general. Digitization in all sectors is a must for surviving in future. We hope the priorities set by the Bangladesh Government will create thousands of innovative products to meet the demands of time.We will also be able to reach up to 5-billion-dollar export and create 20 million jobs by 2025 in the IT industry.”
The State Minister said, “Universities like BUBT are also our companions. For example,conferences like these are very important for generating new ideas and innovations. Transforming the young generations into skilled manpower with IT knowledge is one of the big challenges ahead of us. Let me tell you information: Higher skilled IT freelancers can make $9 an hour for web programming and up to $40 an hour for more advanced work.
He assured to render all possible help to establish new IT Labs in BUBT for helping to carryout research in emerging fields.

Addressing as the General Chair of the ICSCT 2021,Prof. Dr. Muhammed Fayyaz Khan, Vice Chancellor, BUBT, said, “We have successfully completed the all technical sessions of this international conference. I would like to thank the authors for choosing this conference to present their latest research outcomes and all the participants to attend the conference through virtual mode.”
Dr. Ahmed Y. Saber, Technical Program Chair, ICSCT 2021also spoke in theClosingSession. According to Mr. Saber, The conference received 334 papers from 20 countries. All the papers were peer reviewed and only 126 papers were finally selected for presentation and for subsequent uploading in the IEEE digital library.
