Inter Milan are reportedly confident of finally sealing a deal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen, report agencies.

The Serie A title hopefuls are said to be preparing an improved offer as they seek to tempt Tottenham into selling the midfielder this month.

On Monday, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed an official bid had been lodged with the London club.

The chase for wantaway midfielder Eriksen could come to an end when Inter increase their proposal to €15million (£12.8m) plus add-ons. On Monday, they offered £11m plus two bonuses with the intention of pushing through the move now - rather than waiting until the summer.

The Guardian suggests Tottenham will soon have another offer to contemplate after rejecting the Nerazzurri's previous approach, which involved an initial €10m (£8.5m) sum. Christian Eriksen’s agent is set to meet Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy yesterday to thrash out details regarding his potential move to Inter Milan. The Serie A leaders are desperate to sign the Dane before the end of the transfer window.

Antonio Conte is keen to continue rebuilding his side by bringing in Eriksen, having made a series of signings already this window.

Inter have made multiple offers for the 27-year-old, but Spurs are still unhappy at the fee being offered.
