An inter-departmental football tournament began at the central playground of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Thursday.
President of the Football Competition Steering Committee Prof Bashir Ahmed inaugurated the competition and introduced himself to the players participating in the inaugural game at 3:00 pm. Among others, Habiba Yasmin, acting director of the physical education office, teachers and students of the participating departments were present.
In the opening game, Statistics department defeated Institute of Information Technology (IIT) by a score of 2-1. Dipmoy and Sajal of the winning team each scored 1 goal
