International Rural Women's Day 2020 was celebrated in Faridpur. A discussion meeting was held at Dumrakandi High School in Faridpur suburb on Thursday at the initiative of Making Market Work for Women project.
Chairman of Faridpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Mohammad Abdur Razzak Mollah addressed the discussion as the chief guest. Mashuda Hossain, Deputy Director, District Department of Women's Affairs, Alamgir Hossain, Headmaster, Domrakandi High School, Ratna Bala, Kaijudi, UP, spoke as special guests at the discussion meeting chaired by Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Coordinator, Making Market Work for Women Project.
TDCO of Making Market Work for Women project Md. Asaduzzaman gave welcome speech on the occasion. The program was conducted by Md. Shahidul Islam, Field Facilitator of Making Market Work for Women Project. Crests were given to 4 rural women for their special contribution in the program.
