The International Mathematics Day was observed at Khulna University with colourful rally and programmes on Saturday. With the slogan 'Mathematics is everywhere' the programme with a colourful rally headed by Professor Sadhon Ranjan Ghose, Treasurer of the varsity, started from in front of Dr. Satyendranath Bose Academic Building and after parading various various roads of the campus ended at the same place.
Later on a discussion meeting was held at the classroom of CSE department. Presided over by the Head of CSE department, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Professor Sadhan Ranjan Ghose, Treasurer of KU as the chief guest and Professor Sharif Hasan Limon, Student Advisor as special guest while professor Dr. Azmal Huda delivered the welcome speech at the function. Later on Professor Dr. Haider Ali Biswas and Professor Dr. ARM Jalal Uddin Jameli delivered lecture on 'Mathematics in Biology and Medicine and Power of Matrix: Elementary discussion with Application'. The function ended with a quiz competition and distribution of prizes.
