The 30th International Day of Disabled Persons and 23th National Disabled Day was observed in Kishoreganj on Friday as elsewhere in the global with a call for ensuring participation of the people with disabilities to build a sustainable post Covid-19 world.
Kishoreganj District Administration, Social Well-service Department and non-government organization (NGO) jointly arranged discussion, rally, wheelchair distribution marking the day.
In this connection, a colourful rally was brought out and accross the different roads of the town. End of the procession of the Government Child Family (Girls'), a discussion meeting held on Government Child Family (Girls') auditorium in the town.
Civil Surgeon Dr Mujibur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) Golam Mostafa, District Social Well-service Department Assitant Director Shahidullah, Shahnaj Parvin were present at that time. Social Well-service Department Deputy Director Md Kamruzzaman Khan presided over the programme. Later, 10 wheelchar was distributed among disable.
