A four daylong International Credit Mobility Project: Teaching and Training Mobility Programme began at Islamic University (IU) in Kushitia on Sunday.
The mobility programme will continue till August 27 between IU and Cankiri Karatekin University, Turkey under the Erasmus Mobility Programme-2019 of European Union (EU). The inauguration ceremony of the project was held in virtual classroom at Applied Science and Technology building on the campus around 10:00am.
Associate Prof Dr Shahdath Hossian Azad, acting director of IU International Students Affairs Cell inaugurated the programme as welcome speaker and associate Prof Dr Humayun Kobir, member of the Cell conducted the programme.
Four Cankiri Karatekin University, Turkey delegates along with Dr Suayip Turan, head of Erasmus office of the university, Dr Efehan Ulas of Statics department, Dr Burak Keskin of Business administration department and Serken Koldas of Chemistry department spoke out here about the project in support of the university.
Prof Dr M Jakaria Rahman, chairman Marketing department, Prof Dr M Maher Ali, director of IIER and Prof Dr M Atiqur Rahman, chairman of Applied Chemistry Chemical Engineering department delivered speech at inaugural ceremony on behalf of Islamic University.
The training and teaching project will be held with 3 departments including Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Management, statistics department and International Students Affairs Cell, said ISAC director in charge Shahdath Hossain Azad.
A memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between two universities while the MoU will create scope to do collaborative research, share information and Knowledge between the two institutions, he added.
Earlier, the Turkey representatives met with IU Vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid on Saturday evening while pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and among others attended the programme.
