Innovations and diversifications have been made possible in every sphere due to the Digital Bangladesh move, undertaken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said speakers at a function .
The function on innovation showcasing, was held at the Ministry of Finance at Bangladesh Secretariat in participation of the various offices and agencies under the Financial Institutions Division.
State Minister for Finance Waseqa Ayesha Khan attended the event as the Chief Guest.
" Innovations from various offices and agencies under the Financial Institutions Division would ensure smart financial services to people.Fifteen years ago, no office or department could have thought of innovations", the state minister said while addressing.
Financial Institutions Division Secretary Md Abdur Rahman presided over the session while Chief innovation officer and additional secretary Mofiz Uddin Ahmed gave the address of welcome.
Chiefs of the 25 offices and agencies under the Division attended the function.
Waseqa said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had launched cooperatives for the betterment of the farmers of the country while his innovative initiative for the betterment of the agriculture and farmers were much ahead of time.
Later, the State Minister visited the innovation initiatives of different offices.The displayed innovations include: Bangladesh Bank - e-Performance Management System, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission - Customer Complaint Address Module (CCAM), Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority -Insurance info app, Microcredit Regulatory Authority -e-Payment System, Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation - Digital Training Platform, Social Development Foundation - Ensuring healthcare at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries through telemedicine etc.
