Innovation, entrepreneurship will curb poverty, help attain stable growth

IDEB announces weeklong anniversary celebration prog

Innovation and entrepreneurship policy is not merely a concept for a developing country like Bangladesh, but it is also a transformational theory, said experts at a press conference on Sundy.

They expressed hope that diversification will come into the socio-economic cultures through practising the concept of innovation and entrepreneurship which will not only eradicate poverty or create jobs, but also will help finally in attaining stable growth.

Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) organised the press conference to announce the weeklong program, chalked out marking the founding anniversary of the professional body and 'Gono Prokoushal Dibosh-2023'.   

They urged the government to extend necessary cooperation and ensuring required services in flourishing innovation and entrepreneurship.

The press Conference was held at the IDEB headquraters, Kakrail in the capital. 

IDEB President AKMA Hamid delivered speech while General Secretary, Md. Shamsur Rahman read out a written handout elaborating the widespread activities of the professional body also to announce detailed program, undertaken to observe across the country, marking the anniversary.

This year the theme of the IDEB's anniversary is 'Innovtaion and entrepreneurship for development'.

As part of its weeklong program, IDEB will distribute greeting cards among President, Prime Minister, Speaker, relevant Ministers and government high officials from November 1 to 7, holding rallies and discussion meetings in Dhaka and elsewhere on November 8,  seminar titled 'Innovtaion and entrepreneurship for development' on November 12 at IDEB Bhaban in Dhaka, free technology consultancy services from November 8 to 14 and finally to hold young-elderly reunion and concluding ceremony on November 14 which will simultenously be held in Dhaka and elsewhere.

Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud will inaugurate the celebration on November 8 in Dhaka. 

IDEB Vice President AKM Abdul Motaleb, Joint General Secretary, Md. Abdul Kuddus, Md. Sirajul Islam, Organising Secretary, Syed Muntasir Hafiz were also present in the press conference among others.
